Privacy

Shotframe is built to keep your work on your device. This page lists everything that does leave it. In short: nothing, unless you sign in and add a website, send feedback, or allow anonymous usage counts.

On your device only

Screenshots, screen recordings, music, logos, drafts and exports are stored in your browser (IndexedDB) and never uploaded. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

Your account (optional)

You can use the editor, templates and every export without an account. Adding a website needs one, and you sign in with Google. From Google we keep your name, email address and profile picture, plus when you signed up and last signed in. You stay signed in with one cookie that lasts up to 60 days; our database keeps only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it. Signing out ends that session.

You can delete your account at any time from the Shotframe menu in the editor (Delete account). That removes your account and all its sessions straight away.

Websites you add

When you add a website, its address is sent to our server, where a browser (Cloudflare Browser Rendering) opens the public page and sends pictures of it back to your browser. The pictures are then kept in your browser, not on our server. For each such browser session we record the time, the screen size, your account and a salted, daily-changing hash of your network address, to keep the free service within its limits and stop abuse. Don’t add pages that need you to be signed in; they can’t be captured anyway.

Feedback and usage counts

• Feedback you send (and the email address, if you give one) is stored so we can read and answer it.
• Anonymous daily counts (for example “an image was exported”) with no account, device or identifier attached. Skipped when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Who processes it

Shotframe runs on Cloudflare (hosting, database and the browser that renders websites). Sign-in is handled by Google. There are no ads, no third-party analytics and no tracking pixels, and nothing is sold or shared.
